Adding metal powder into the polymer is to change the appearance or physical properties of the polymer. The demand growth for light weight and high performance parts in automotive industry and related fields leads to the use of polymer-based composite materials. Many of these compounds contain metal powder and it makes the parts have the same metal appearance with the parts replaced.
Daye micro grade stainless steel powder is used to be filled into plastics based on end-use and made a variety of sizes and shapes. The physical properties and functions which affect polymer include the following factors: electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity, electromagnetic shielding, anti-static surface, corrosion resistance and abrasion resistance.
The composite material filled with stainless steel powder into Teflon is most widely used as sealing material and it has gained public praise in the practical application. Filling with snow flake micro grade stainless steel powder will make its organization structure more exquisite and control performance more superior.
